American Cancer Society Relay For Life

Friday, June 8th , 2012 - Relay for Life at Lincoln-Way East High School in Frankfort

Team registration has begun! You can sign up online by clicking here or use the sign-up sheet on the Missions bulletin board. All it takes to be a team member is a passion for the cause and a desire to help raise money for the American Cancer Society. Whether you come for the fellowship, walk one lap, or walk all night, all are welcome to be part of the team.

Survivors are special people!
The Relay for Life would like to honor you in your fight against cancer. A person is considered a survivor form the moment of diagnosis - no matter what type of cancer or how long the treatment. There will be a special survivor reception at 5 pm on June 8th in the High School. Each survivor's journey will be commemorated, and there will also be a special time to thank caregivers for their support and care. Opening ceremonies will begin at 6:30 pm, with a survivor lap immediately following. See the forms on the Missions bulletin board or go to the Frankfort/Mokena Relay website to register.

ON-GOING FUNDRAISER AT CREATIVE CARPET
The Pay it Forward Program is an on-going program sponsored by Creative Carpet, 19420 S. LaGrange Road in Mokena. Present a voucher when you purchase any type of flooring and 3% of your purchase will be donated to the Relay for Life on behalf of St. John's. Any purchase made through March 31, 2012, will receive double the donation — that's 6% of the purchase price. All sales promotions and incentives will still apply. Once the flooring is installed, Creative Carpet will complete the voucher and mail a check back to the church.
